Dear Lucas,
No one knows the quality and professionalism of Brooklyn Law School graduates better than our loyal and dedicated alumni. As practitioners, you have a heightened awareness of the current state of the legal hiring market and first hand observations of where in the legal industry hiring demands are greatest. Whether you are working in private practice, government or in the public interest, you can help us identify where our graduates can and should focus their searches for post-graduate employment.
As of December 15, 2014, almost 80 percent of the members of the Class of 2014 are employed. This percentage is the employment rate we typically see at six months post-graduation, but it means that there are still many graduates who have yet to land their first post-graduation jobs. While we also typically see an increase in hiring after the new year, we believe that you are in a unique position to help our as of yet employed graduates enter the marketplace sooner.
Please let us know if we can refer qualified graduates to fulfill hiring needs in your place of business or alternatively, if you can facilitate an introduction between our team in the Office of Career and Professional Development and your hiring personnel. Of course, please feel free to refer any job leads or other ideas to us as well.
Thank you very much for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Nick and Karen
