BYE BYE, BARBARA BOXER

Lucas,

Senator Barbara Boxer announced last week that she will not be running for reelection in 2016, after more than 20 years of serving in the Senate.

From my first day in the Senate, Barbara has been a constant source of inspiration and moral support as well as a stalwart on critical issues from common sense gun safety reform to net neutrality.

And though last year we didn’t have the votes needed to pass it, Barbara’s steadfast call for support of the military sexual assault bill has been invaluable in earning a majority of support in the Senate. Together we will continue the fight in this Congress.

I mean it when I say I will miss her, and I can’t wait to see what she does next.

I am joining my colleagues in thanking Barbara Boxer for her more than two decades of service to the Senate, and I want to make sure as many people as possible sign on – will you add your name?

Sign the card thanking Barbara for fighting for women and families.

Thank you so much.
