The bills introduced on the first day of a new Congress are essentially
a to-do list for the next two years.
And guess what was near the top of the Republicans' list? A bill that
would ban abortion at 20 weeks.
Republicans sent a clear signal on Tuesday: limiting access to reproductive
health care for women and their families is a top priority.

This bill directly attacks the rights guaranteed by
Roe v. Wade and is nearly identical to anti-choice bills recently passed in 9 states
(and introduced in plenty more).
But here's what we learned from fights in states like Ohio and North
Carolina: Republicans only like to pass these bills when no one's
watching. They know voters get angry when they try to restrict women's
health care.
The best way to make sure they don't get away with their attacks is
to call them out — loud and clear.
