Who do you call when you find out a guy at work is making more money than
you for doing the same job, Lucas?
In Rhode Island, it's the new "RI Pay Equity Tip Line,"
created by our own Governor Gina Raimondo. This community elected Gina
just three months ago, and already she is doing big things to make the
lives of women and families in Rhode Island better.
It's exciting to see Gina make equal pay a priority, and it's
exactly why we need more women like her in office.
Add your name if you're ready to elect more women like Gina.
Rhode Island's new hotline gives victims of paycheck discrimination
a clear path forward, enabling them to collect the wages they deserve
and to hold their employer accountable. And it's exactly the sort
of thing we need to see more of.
Gina put it best when she said, "Ensuring paycheck fairness is important
for women, it creates opportunities for families, and it strengthens the
economy." I couldn't agree more.
It's time to put more women who will fight for equal pay in leadership
positions.
Pledge to help elect the women who will fight for equal pay in 2015, 2016,
and beyond. Add your name.
