SHE'S STILL WORRIED ABOUT CHOICE

Lucas,

It’s an issue I wish we weren’t still debating in 2015 – but so long as the Republican Party continues challenging a woman’s right to choose, this team has to keep defending it.

As one of their first acts in session, the new GOP majority proposed a ban on abortion and an egregious requirement that victims of sexual assault report the incident before receiving critical health care.

This debate in Congress puts Republican lawmakers between women and their doctors – exposing a blatant disregard for women’s health and safety.

That’s why my fellow women lawmakers are uniting to demand the GOP start acting like it’s 2015 and stop challenging a woman’s right to choose. Every voice makes us stronger – will you lend yours today and join me in defending women’s health care choices?

Tell the GOP: Stop challenging a woman's right to choose!

You and I both know that a woman’s health care decisions should be made between her, her family and her doctor – not politicians in Washington. That’s why we must come together today to voice our outrage against the consistent efforts of those seeking to roll back women’s reproductive freedom.

Roe v. Wade has been the law of the land for more than four decades. To deny a woman’s constitutionally protected access to health care, as the Republican majority consistently tries to do, is both backward and dangerous – and we cannot stand for it.

Momentum is picking up as my colleagues in Washington and women across the country speak out – I hope you’ll join us in demanding the GOP finally stop challenging a woman’s right to choose.
