I’d like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who contributed towards our first end-of-month budget challenge of the year. Because of your support, we surpassed our goal an hour before our deadline, and we’re starting 2015 with a strong foundation.
This week, the president released his proposed budget for 2016, which includes critical funding to expand early childhood and affordable college education programs. His budget also invests in fixing our crumbling infrastructure and provides funding for medical and scientific research, all while cutting taxes for hardworking families.
These items in particular reflect the budget priorities that make a difference for our middle class families across central and northwest Connecticut.
