Republican U.S. Senator Bob Corker just announced that the new Republican majority in the Senate is considering a 65% increase in the national gas tax.
That's right - the one sector of the U.S. economy that is finally providing relief to Americans like you is under attack - by establishment Republicans!
We must stop this horrible attack on our prosperity, and we must act quickly!
Now that gas prices are finally falling, these D.C. politicians believe they can get away with this massive tax hike.
They're getting their marching orders from the big business interests like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as well as big-time Washington, D.C. and New York City based environmental lobbying firms and other "green" special interest billionaires like Tom Steyer.
And if we don't stand up to them now, they're going to force this massive tax increase through, just as our economic engine gets up and running again!
That's why this national petition is so incredibly important. We need to show these so-called "Conservatives" that the American people will stand up for our energy future and against tax increases of any kind.

The national gas tax is currently 18.4 cents per gallon. Senator Corker says Republicans are going to push for an additional 12 cents per gallon tax hike.
That's a 65% increase .
And whether you drive or not, this tax increase will hurt you.
Gasoline fuels the engine of our economy. If the gas tax goes up, the cost of food, of travel, of consumer goods, of heating - the cost of EVERYTHING - will go up in turn.
All this gas tax hike will do is pull more money out of our economy, destroy jobs, and stomp out the one sector of our economy that has actually managed to give a break to American families in spite of Barack Obama's agenda.
Low gas prices are practically the only thing allowing American families to keep more of their hard earned money these days. This national gas tax hike seeks to take it right back away from us.
We must stop it. NOW.
