Dear Parents and Guardians:

During the months of February and March I will be holding five forums - one in each borough - to discuss the future of mayoral control in New York City, which is set to sunset on June 30, 2015. The goal of these forums will be to provide a needed platform for educators, parents/guardians, and elected officials to discuss what real community and parent engagement should look like under mayoral control.

I would like to hear your thoughts about mayoral control and how modifications to the law can help to improve our education system. Please share your views with me by completing this survey and attending one of the five forums.

Thank you and I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Letitia James
