GOP Support for Israel Increases; Less Than Majority of Democrats Support Israel

A new Gallup poll asked Americans who they sympathize with more, Israelis or Palestinians.

The results of this poll continue to show a growing 'Israel gap' between Republicans and Democrats. The poll shows that GOP support for Israel has reached 83 percent. Democrats only support Israel 48% of the time, a ten percentage point drop in one year.

"Israel is a country that needs our bipartisan support. At a time when Israel is facing threats on all sides it is very troubling that less than a majority of Democrats support Israel. This downward trend of Democrat support for Israel should be of real concern."
