Right now in Paris, leaders from more than 190 countries are hammering out an agreement to tackle the looming threat of climate change.
Families in California know how much we stand to lose. The past four years have left our state scarred by drought – not just in cracked fields and disappearing lakes, but also in the 10,100 jobs lost just in 2015 due to the drought’s toll on our state’s agriculture.
Without courageous action to address climate change, these kinds of disasters are only going to get worse, and American families will bear the cost. As the conference comes to a close, we need Congress to stop denying the science and start taking action.
