Lucas,
Here's a depressing fact: It’s 2015 and women still earn 79
cents on the dollar compared to men.
It's wrong -- wrong for women, and wrong for our economy.
I’m proud to say that recently the California Fair Pay Act was amended
to make it the nation’s strongest equal pay protection law.
Now, it’s time for our entire nation to follow in California’s
footsteps. Join me in urging Congress to strengthen equal pay laws.
This pay disparity doesn’t just affect women. It affects all Americans.
If we lift up the economic status of women by paying them the 21 cents
they deserve, it lifts up the economic status of our nation as a whole.
When women can succeed, America succeeds.
I’ll say it again -- it’s 2015! When will gender equality
become a reality?
Sign on to tell Congress to stop gender discrimination and pass equal pay laws now.
Thank you,
Nancy
