WINNER-TAKE-ALL?

Lucas,

The stakes for the 2016 election are higher than they've ever been. A recent article in Rolling Stone called it "one of the most pivotal moments of our time."

If Democrats win, we could keep the presidency, take back the Senate, and even gain seats in the House. But if Republicans win, they could have a hold on all three until at least 2020.

This will be a winner-take-all election — and we can't afford to lose. Donate to help our pro-choice Democratic women win in 2016.

If the Republicans win the presidency in 2016, they will also almost inevitably control both the Senate and the House of Representatives, giving them virtually unfettered command over the entire federal government to go along with their domination of the great majority of the state governments -- Rolling Stone

Think about the damage Republicans will do if they control Congress and the White House. They'll be able to dismantle crucial federal programs and stall progress on legislation to help women and families.

Even worse, a Republican president and Senate will stack the Supreme Court with more judges like Antonin Scalia. And a Supreme Court filled with Republican-appointed justices could set back women's reproductive rights for generations.

But if Democrats win in 2016, we can expand on all the progress we've made. We can pass legislation to ensure women receive equal pay for equal work and make sure employers provide paid family and sick leave.

And with justices appointed by a Democratic president and approved by a Democratic Senate, we can make sure that women's reproductive rights are protected for future generations.

The stakes are too high for us to lose next year. Donate to help elect our pro-choice Democratic women in 2016:
