Lucas, Ruth Bader Ginsburg was talking about the Hobby Lobby ruling, but it’s applicable to the right wing’s latest power grab:
The Supreme Court is now set to decide whether bosses at nonprofit organizations can use their personal beliefs to limit what health care services women can access.
The same men who ruled 5-4 against us last time have the votes to do it again, drowning out the voice of Justice Ginsburg, the other women on the bench and millions of women across the country.
We’ve got to do everything we can to be heard. Please, speak out now:
Tell the Supreme Court: Bosses have NO PLACE between a woman and her doctor.
This is one of the biggest fights we’ll take on. We owe it to the women who came before us, who fought to:
- Vote;
- End discrimination against women who become pregnant; and
- Seek damages for sexual harassment in the workplace.
We owe it to them, our daughters and ourselves.
