Earlier this month, Congressman Jeffries became a founder and co-chair of the bipartisan Criminal Justice and Public Safety Caucus. He also recently stepped up as a leader to block the attempt to lift up and defend the Confederate battle flag. Rep. Jeffries successfully authored an amendment that would ban federal money being used toward the purchase or display of Confederate flags by the National Park Service.
