Dear Lucas,
I’ve been called a lot of names, but no one has ever called me “Doctor.”
That makes sense when you think about it -- no one calls me “Doctor
Franken” because I am not a doctor. It’s not what I do, and
it’s not what Congress does either.
But there are extremists in Washington who want to pretend that Congress
can be your doctor. They want to deny millions of women access to life-saving
medical care from real, actual doctors.
What we need to stop these attacks is more Democrats in Congress who understand
we need to protect women’s access to healthcare -- not get in the way.
Which is why it’s so important to support our MVPs who are running
for office all across the country. Help us help them by getting us $5
closer to our $20,000 August goal.
You wouldn’t ask Congress to test you for strep throat, would you?
Of course not. Congress is not your doctor. And with your help, we’ll
keep it that way.
Thanks for your support,
Al
