Dear School of Professional Studies Community,
I am pleased to announce that Sonal Pande has joined us as the Director of Development for the School of Professional Studies.
Sonal has recently relocated from London where she was the Head of Major Giving for Prostate Cancer UK. In this role, Sonal led the Major Giving team comprised of major donors, trusts, and fundraising research functions. Under her leadership, the organization saw a significant increase in major donor and trusts income. Prior to Prostate Cancer UK, Sonal served as the Major Gifts Fundraiser for the Royal National Institute of Blind People. Sonal brings to the position over twelve years of fundraising experience in the USA and UK, primarily in major gifts solicitation, trusts and foundation funding, and special events.
As Director of Development, Sonal will partner closely with the Dean’s Office and Associate Deans to build clear communications and a collaborative approach to fundraising. She will lead the development and implementation of targeted fundraising strategies and programs unique to the financial needs of SPS.
Sonal is a member of the Diversity Committee at Marymount School and Horace Mann School and is a volunteer consultant for SE1 United Youth Charity in the UK. Sonal holds a B.S. in Mathematics, Economics and Statistics from Bangalore University and an MPA from Columbia University.
