PLEDGE TO VOTE

The participatory budgeting vote is only a few weeks away, and I hope we can count on you to be part of it.

Pledge to vote between April 14th and 19th and decide which of the outstanding projects, developed by your neighbors, will help transform your community. ( Voting times and locations are on my website.)

After months of working hard to turn your ideas into reality, our volunteer budget delegates have put forth 13 projects for this year’s participatory budgeting ballot– from new public art, to fixing dangerous intersections, to upgrades at schools, parks, and subway stops. Pledge to vote here.

The projects on this year's ballot are:

  • A/C for PS 124 Cafeteria (Title 1 School)
  • Art in the 4th Avenue F/G Subway Station
  • Four Safer Intersections on Hicks Street
  • Kids Play Area at St. Mary’s Playground
  • Make Union Street and 9th Street Greener
  • More Turnstiles at the 7th Ave. F/G Station
  • New Drainage along Path in Prospect Park
  • Park Slope Library Storytelling Garden
  • PS 146/MS 448 Innovative Gym Renovation
  • PS 179 Auditorium Reconstruction
  • Technology for Local Arts Non-Profits
  • Water Service for Thomas Cuite Park
  • Windsor Terrace Stormwater Greenstreet

For a complete description of each project, take a look at the 2015 Ballot page of my website.

If you’d like to learn even more about any of the projects listed on the ballot or have any questions you’d like answered before you cast your vote, there will be a project exposition fair, where you can speak with the delegates who developed the projects and view displays with more detailed information. There will also be food and music—and you can cast your ballot right at the event!
