Has the Obama Administration been responsive to the needs of the Latino community? What are the most important issues facing Latinos today? Who is most responsible for the drug violence in Mexico? Is the criminal justice system fair to Latinos? How are race relations in the United States from a Latino perspective? By filling out the National Latino Opinion Leaders Survey you can provide valuable insights into these and many more issues of concern to the Latino population of the United States.

The results will be published in The NiLP Latino Policy & Politics Report, an information network of the National Institute for Latino Policy that represents a broad cross-section of Latino opinion leaders throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. These are made up of elected officials, government officials, heads of community-based organizations and national advocacy groups, religious leaders, business leaders, academics and others.

Through our National Latino Opinion Leaders Survey, we poll this group from time to time on important issues facing the Latino community given this stratums' important role in Latino agenda-setting and framing.

While the polling that is being conducted nationally on Latino issues by the media and polling organizations is of the broader community, we think this more select group of opinion leaders may have a unique place from which to view these issues within our community. While not a scientifically generated sample of Latino elites, we think this survey may result in useful insights on major issues facing the Latino community today. And remember, NiLP is thoroughly nonpartisan, and your responses to this survey are all anonymous. No one will have access to any information that can identify you.

We look forward to hearing from you on these critical issues facing the Latino community in the United States.
