The speakers will share the vital interplay among personal autonomy, competence and connection with others as the condition precedent for overall wellbeing.
The Happy and Productive Lawyer
After years of identifying the signs and symptoms of alcoholism, depression,
stress and all of what lawyers should be aware of and avoid, it is time
for a new and more positive perspective. What if we looked at the underlying
causes and conditions of happiness and wellbeing? The first thing we would
discover is that there is a significant and growing body of scientific
evidence that can point us in the direction of leading more satisfying
and productive personal and professional lives. Let's move toward
good health instead of running from dis-EASE.
Sponsored by the Law Practice Management Committee, the Lawyer Assistance Committee and the Committee on Continuing Legal Education of the New York State Bar Association.
