Tickets are now on sale for the November 14-15 Creative Time Summit: Stockholm! Hosted in partnership with Public Art Agency Sweden, the first iteration of the Creative Time Summit outside of NYC will focus on expanded public practice at the intersection of art and politics, touching on issues of extreme nationalism, migration, and surveillance—timely issues both in Europe and around the globe.
Expect the signature fast-paced, back-to-back dynamic Summit presentations, but with many new twists, surprises, and opportunities for deeper engagement. Over two days you will hear from close to 40 speakers, including keynotes by sociologist Saskia Sassen and Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama, as well as talks by Tania Bruguera, Ahmet Ögüt, Nastío Mosquito, Metahaven, Propeller Group, and Birgitta Jónsdóttir, to name a few. Tickets are priced at $100 USD (approx.), with tickets at $50 USD (approx.) available for students and artists. In addition to the on-stage programming, the 2014 Summit: Stockholm will feature a range of parties, excursions, meals, dialogues, and workshops. Some highlights include artist-led local tours and open houses; an interactive lunch installation by Ghana ThinkTank; a performative and participatory multi-course dinner at the Moderna Museet based on Ethiopian and Swedish traditions; and a closing party—hosted in collaboration with Mossutställningar at Studio Verksamma Tillsmanns—that will feature a roller disco and over 200 artists, hackers, musicians, filmmakers, activists, and authors.
