Our country is facing enormous challenges.
For years, the Republican-led House of Representatives has been focused
on delivering real solutions – we haven’t hidden from tough
policy choices and we’ve worked on substantive issues to move our
country forward. Yet, all too often, our progress has hits a stonewall
in the Senate.
With Harry Reid as Majority Leader, the Senate plays politics first –
they don’t allow our bills any debate, but simultaneously refuse
to actually pass their own solutions. That’s not how our legislative
branch was designed to work.
In fact, just this year alone, Senate Democrats have refused to consider
over 350 bipartisan bills that had already passed the House – legislation
for American energy independence, fostering job growth, strengthening
our national security and so many other priorities. They just sit on Harry
Reid’s desk. This is unacceptable. Our country deserves more from
its Senate.
Even if you don’t agree with all of our solutions, you can at least
respect the fact that we are willing to offer them, debate them and vote on them.
Our country desperately needs new conservative leadership in the Senate
and that’s why I’m committed to helping elect a Republican
Senate Majority.
