There are a lot of reasons why I support Wendy Davis - she's a Texan
who understands struggle and knows where hard work can get you.
Growing up in Texas, I was one of eight children, and by the time I was 10, I was working in the cotton fields of West Texas. At 16, I had to drop out of school to help support my family. We worked hard. We worked together, and despite all the challenges, we came through together.
Wendy Davis understands what it means to struggle, work hard and get ahead. She's been there. And most importantly, she listens.
I would be incredibly proud to call Wendy Davis my next governor. And today, I'm asking you to help get her there. For Wendy to be successful, she needs a huge grassroots effort. Can you help by giving $5 or more?
I've dedicated my life to being an advocate for working people -- in Texas and all across the country.
Wendy has a plan to make Texas a stronger state for working Texans. She’ll create good-paying jobs for our families. She’ll fight to raise the minimum wage. She’ll work to see that Texas women earn the same as Texas men.
We need a governor with that kind of vision. We need Wendy Davis as our next leader in Texas.
