I know you're getting a lot of these emails and I wouldn't be asking if this didn't matter. But I need your help.
You see, after our hard-fought primary victory, our campaign was left in debt. Being in debt is always painful but that's what we needed to win a close race. However, now we're in a tough spot.
Democrats across the country are facing tight races as we seek to prevent Tea Party Republicans from taking all of Congress. My colleagues in swing districts are besieged with lying attack ads from the likes of the Koch Brothers. They're sounding the all hands' on deck alarm, asking for assistance to fight back.
You better believe I know that the primary was exhausting. A lot of us needed to rest. But now our friends, our allies from around the country, are under attack. It's time to get off the sidelines and help them out. Otherwise, we'll be looking at complete Republican control of Congress.

You've seen the last two years. Washington didn't accomplish anything. Republicans stymied progress at every turn and threatened to impeach our President. And that was when they had only partial control of Congress. Imagine what'll happen if they take over everything.
A higher minimum wage? Off the table. Helping DREAMers who came to the US as children and grew up here? Not going to happen. Protecting our civil rights? As my friends from Brooklyn would say, fughettaboutit.
As if that's not scary enough, a full Republican takeover would be even worse.
Repealing Obamacare? That's still on their list. Restricting a woman's right to choose? Just look at what they've done in Texas. Impeaching Obama? Yep, some Tea Party Republicans are talking about it.
That's why it's so important we get back on the field to turn the tide.
And in these final few weeks, there's not much time to waste. We'll have an immediate impact for Democrats in trouble. And it might not only save a few key Democrats but also protect President Obama from having to spend the final two years of his term under threat of impeachment from a Tea Party-controlled Congress.
