Friend, fat is great in biscuits but it has no place in budgets — wouldn't you agree?

When I worked the morning shift as a biscuit maker in a fast food restaurant, I learned that the key to a great biscuit is lots of fat. The problem is, Washington thinks the same thing about our budget.

Washington politicians need to cut the fat from the federal budget. I promise to fight for a balanced budget amendment to stop wasteful spending — will you make a contribution of $25 today to help me take that message to Washington?

During Congressman Braley's eight years in Congress, he has voted to increase the debt ceiling eight times and the national debt has more than doubled. On top of all that, a new study by the Senate Budget Committee yesterday projected that Congressman Braley's vote for Obamacare would increase the national debt by over $100 billion over the next 10 years.

Runaway spending from both parties is leaving trillions in debt for our children. It's not fair.
