Yes, Bob did read that poll right!
Republican Senate candidate Thom Tillis won 18% of the black vote in North Carolina, providing the margin of victory for his win in that state.
And, it happened because of the National Draft Ben Carson for President Committee.
Let me explain how and why we did it.
Ben Carson said that he was not going to run for President unless the Republicans won control of the United States Senate. So this Committee ran more than $500,000 in radio ads on black and Spanish speaking radio stations in North Carolina and in Louisiana.
We knew that a September Wall Street Journal poll showed that 37% of African Americans identify themselves as conservative and that a large number of Hispanics identify themselves as conservative.
In order to convince Ben Carson to run for President, we aired ads for two solid months on the stations listened to by black and Latino conservatives.
Thom Tillis' final margin of victory was less than 2%.
It appears that 18% of those who heard the ads voted for Thom Tillis. I don't yet have the final data, but I'm convinced that the ads run by the National Draft Ben Carson for President Committee provided the margin of victory to Thom Tillis.
By doing this we got out the black and Hispanic conservative vote for Thom Tillis and Bill Cassidy. Of course, others worked to get out the vote too, but our effort was the only one of its kind or magnitude.
The ads were on energy, education, jobs, taxes, abortion, marriage, and other straightforward conservative issues. And, here's the kicker...
The closing line of each ad (in North Carolina) was...
"Ben Carson trusts Thom Tillis. You should too."
Ben Carson is revered and respected in the black community. If Thom Tillis received 18% of the black vote thanks to our ads, just imagine the level of support that Ben Carson will receive if he is the GOPs nominee for President in 2016!

Ben Carson will Win More than 40% of the Black Vote!
How do I know that? Well...
In 2011, internal polls showed that Republican Presidential candidate Herman Cain was backed by 40% of black Americans and 60% of Hispanics even though Cain was running against Barack Obama, an incumbent black President.
The Cain campaign team was astounded. How could that be, especially when running against a black incumbent?
Their conclusion was that these minority voters identified with the life experience of Herman Cain. He empathized with them. He understood the challenges they face because he grew up in poverty and through hard work and dedication lifted himself up to become successful.
In short, Herman Cain was trusted by the African American community and by the Hispanic community. Trust is the bottom line. Whether it is a contract, a marriage, a friendship or a business relationship, trust is the essential ingredient.
If the Republican nominee does not have a solid base of trust in minority communities BEFORE he runs for President, he is not going to win their votes.
For decades, black parents have told the amazing story of Ben Carson to their children as an example of what they can accomplish. In fact, there is even a children's book that tells the life story of Ben Carson. And, there was a full-length motion picture starring Cuba Gooding, Jr. as Ben Carson called Gifted Hands that most African Americans have watched.
Both President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama offered the position of Surgeon General to Dr. Carson. They both understood how much having Ben Carson in their Administration would help them.
So, if Herman Cain, who was respected in the black community received 40% of the black vote, just imagine what percent of the black vote Dr. Ben Carson would receive!
There's no doubt about it. Ben Carson would defeat Hillary Clinton or any other candidate the Democrats choose. And, he would probably win in a landslide.
And, the Democrats know it. That's why they fear Ben Carson more than any other candidate. They know that their grasp on power is hanging by the thread of a despicable lie that conservatives are racists.
Ben Carson Will End the Reign of Liberalism in America
Democrats know they will not only lose if Ben Carson is the Republican nominee, but also the future of liberalism in America will be very bleak indeed.
But, the Republican establishment is uncomfortable with Dr. Carson because he rightly blames both Republicans and Democrats for the current mess we are in. They want another establishment Republican as their presidential nominee, someone like Chris Christie, Jeb Bush or Mitt Romney.
Americans are weary of both Barack Obama and of any Bush. Nominating Christie, Bush, or Romney would be asking for a Democratic victory in 2016.
Nevertheless, Las Vegas gambling billionaire Sheldon Adelson has bragged that he wants to "compress" the Republican nominee selection process by putting as much as $100 million of his own money behind the candidate he picks. Christie and Bush have already flown to Las Vegas to meet with Adelson.
Just winning isn't enough! We must elect a man who will not settle for politics as usual. We must elect a man who is 100% committed to the United States Constitution and to the principles of freedom set forth by the Founders.
Dr. Benjamin Carson is That Man!
At the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast, with the President and Vice President Biden just a few feet away, Ben Carson said that Obamacare was a disaster, and then offered a free market alternative. He also suggested that the IRS be shut down...
"When I pick up my Bible, you know what I see? I see the fairest individual in the Universe, God, and he's given us a system. It's called tithe. Now we don't necessarily have to [make] it 10%, but it's [the] principle. He didn't say, if your crops fail, don't give me any tithes. He didn't say, if you have a bumper crop, give me triple tithes. So there must be something inherently fair about proportionality."
Dr. Carson is right on the critical issues of our day...
Balanced Budget: "I believe the logical approach would be to have each governmental agency and department trim its budget by 10 percent--with no exceptions. In each subsequent year, another 10 percent decrease would be required and would continue as long as necessary to bring the budget back into balance."
Border Security: "... it is necessary to secure the border. We need to have control over who is in our country, we need to know who they are, and what they're doing here."
Jobs: "If, instead of regulating and taxing to death the engine of growth, our government suddenly decided to leave it alone and allow it to be nourished by free market forces, like the seed, it would explode with vibrant growth, jobs would return quickly..."
Judeo- Christian Values: "Our Judeo-Christian values led this nation to the pinnacle of the world in record time. If we embrace them, they will keep us there."
Marriage: "...I believe marriage is between a man and a woman and that no group has the right to change the definition of marriage to suit their needs."
National Debt: " To saddle the next generation with unimaginable debt is not only callous, it is morally reprehensible."
Obamacare: "... Obamacare is really I think the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery. "...I believe everyone should have a health savings account (HSA)."
Political Correctness: "It is time to set aside political correctness and replace it with the bold values and principles that founded our nation and caused it to race to the pinnacle of the world faster than any other nation in history. It is time to stop apologizing and to start leading...
Poverty and Compassion: "Compassion...should mean providing a mechanism to escape poverty rather than simply maintaining people in an impoverished state by supplying handouts."
Republicans and Democrats: " Both Democrats and Republicans have strayed so far from the path of responsible financial policy that the concept of balancing the budget is foreign to them."
Right to Keep and Bear Arms: " ...to threaten the Second Amendment rights of ordinary American citizens is itself insanity. Those wishing to ban all assault weapons fail to understand the original intent of the Second Amendment."
Right to Life: " How can a society that kills millions of innocent unborn babies and then labels anyone opposing the practice as 'anti-woman' claim even a modicum of goodness?"
United States Constitution: "I believe that the only thing that will correct our downward trajectory is the rekindling of the enthusiasm for individual freedom and the reestablishment of the U.S. Constitution as the dominant document of governance."
Voter ID Cards: "I have yet to find a nation that does not require some type of official voter identification card or mechanism to ensure that voters are who they say they are."
War on Women: "There is no war on them [women]; the war is on their babies, babies that cannot defend themselves. Over the past few decades, we have destroyed 55 million of them."
Welfare: "A truly moral nation enacts policies that encourage personal responsibility and discourages self-destructive behavior by not subsidizing people who live irresponsibly and make poor choices."
The Most Important Reason to Support Ben Carson
Sadly, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are dividers, not uniters. If elected, Hillary will continue to set Americans against each other--black vs. white, young vs. old, women vs. men, employees vs. employers.
Only once before, during the Civil War, were Americans as divided as they are today.
Because of Dr. Carson's unparalleled record as a medical doctor, his courage, his compassion, and the high regard with which he is held in the black community...
Ben Carson is the Only Man Who Can Heal America
Dr. Carson is the one person who can end the rancor, the distrust, the divide that has been crassly exploited by Barack Obama. As a Christian, he simply believes that encouraging jealousy and envy is morally wrong.
Ben Carson has been a kind, compassionate, and skilled healer his entire life. And, Ben Carson is a proud and unrepentant American! He will be a President who never apologizes for America.
Ben Carson is a man whose life story defies the liberals' notion of what a black American can accomplish. He would make a great president.
No Democrat candidate for President, even Hillary Clinton, can defeat him. No Republican candidate is as articulate, courageous, and as full of common sense as Ben Carson.
And, most important of all, no other candidate for President can heal our broken land. But...
Will Ben Carson Run for President?
The answer is YES! He has already changed his registration from Independent to Republican, and the Republicans won control of the U.S. Senate.
But, Dr. Carson set one more condition for running. He wants to see that a groundswell of Americans are urging him to run.
