Election Day was only last week, but ALREADY Republicans are issuing impeachment threats against President Obama!
Leading Texas Republican Rep. Jim Barton told a right-wing news program that "impeachment would be a consideration" if President Obama refused to let Tea Party extremism run unchecked.
This is NOT what Americans voted for: Tell Republicans to DROP their Tea Party impeachment plans!
This is right-wing overreach in its purest form. Last week's election was many things, but it was NOT a mandate to impeach the President of the United States.
We need to lay down a marker TODAY that we won't stand for this. If the Tea Party moves ahead with their impeachment threats, backlash from the American people will be stronger than any "wave" Republicans could imagine.
