Dear Lucas,
On what was a very difficult Election Day for many Democrats across the
country, I feel especially humbled and grateful that you have allowed
me the privilege of once again representing our remarkable district in
the U.S. House of Representatives. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart,
for all of your support and engagement.
As I have said often, I view public office as a loan, a debt that must
be repaid to the people we serve each and every day. And I give you my
solemn word that I intend to do that each and every day, to the utmost
of my ability.
There's a lot of work that needs to be done and I'm eager to get
back to work for you.
