Dear Lucas,
Tuesday night had its ups and downs. We got to celebrate a huge victory
in Minnesota. But across the country, good Democrats got buried under
a wave of special interest money.
Here’s the thing, though:
2014 isn’t over. There’s another race we can win, and it’s a big one.
My friend Mary Landrieu faces a December 6th runoff for the Senate seat
in Louisiana. She has a real shot to win it and prove that, even though
Democrats had a tough night this Tuesday, we’re ready to fight for
what we believe in.
Would you click here to help Mary win this sprint to December 6th by contributing $5?
I’m a big fan of Mary’s, because she always fights so hard
for her state.
Sometimes, that means standing her ground against extremist conservatives,
special interests, or even other Democrats. But most of the time, it means
working hard to reach across the aisle and find common sense solutions
that make a difference for Louisiana.
We can’t afford to lose Mary in the Senate -- especially after what
happened this Tuesday. And, if folks like you and me step up to the plate
right now, we won’t.

This runoff will have a lot of national attention -- and that means the
same right-wing special interests who spent so much to win seats on November
4th will be geared up to try to take another one on December 6th.
Thanks for helping stop ‘em.
Al
P.S.: Mary’s starting off this sprint to December 6th with an ambitious
$1OO,OOO moneybomb -- she needs to hit her goal by midnight tonight.
Can I count on you to help by contributing $5?
