Lucas -- From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Earlier today I called to concede to Congressman Jeff Denham and congratulate
him on a hard-fought victory. Though our visions for the Valley sharply
differ, I wish him and his family well.
I want to thank my entire family for their support over the last many
months and graciously thank my many supporters and volunteers who marched
through difficult terrain to bring change to the Centra l Valley. Your
hard work and dedication to the campaign touched and inspired me and my
family and helped give me strength to continue forward when times were
toughest. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
I believe that the Central Valley's best days are ahead of us, not
behind us. Though the results of this Election did not give us the outcome
we wanted, I look forward to continuing to work to improve our community
and the lives of my neighbors.
