On this Mother's Day, while I celebrate with my children and grandchildren, my heart goes out to the thousands of mothers around our country whose children have been taken from them by gun violence.
This isn't a happy thought on Mother's Day or any day. But we owe it to the thousands of families affected by gun violence every year to remember them and do what we can to prevent the loss of more children to gun violence.
Currently, the CDC is barred from researching gun violence prevention. We have the power to change that, and I need your help.

There's a lot we could do to prevent gun violence – but we can't implement the most effective, life-saving actions if the CDC can't even research gun violence prevention.
