On this Mother's Day, I want to take the time to recognize both my wonderful mother and my lovely wife, so I thought I'd reach out to all of you.
My mother has given me the strength to tackle any challenge. The lessons I learned from her while growing up undoubtedly informed my passion and commitment to public service. I wouldn't be half the man I am today without her wisdom and guidance.
And I couldn't think of a better partner, or more inspiring woman, than my wife Kim – the true backbone of our family. She demonstrates amazing grace under pressure every day, whether it's at home raising our three wonderful daughters or in the classroom teaching 8th grade English. It's her character, patience, and wit that push me to be better and for that, I'm incredibly grateful.
