NEED A LIFT?

I am writing to ask you to join me in honoring Hon. Jonathan L. Bing, a Partner at Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP, by supporting the Legal Information for Families Today (LIFT) 2014 Gala, A Benefit for Families, on Tuesday, June 3^rd. That evening we will be honoring Jonathan with the Champion of Children & Families Award. We will also be honoring W. Keyes Hill-Edgar, EVP of Business Affairs and General Counsel, Music Group, Viacom Media Networks, and the New York City Council with the Speaker, Hon. Melissa Mark-Viverito, accepting their award.

As you know, Jonathan is a former New York State Assembly member and agency director for Governor Andrew Cuomo. During his tenure in the Assembly, Jonathan was a strong advocate for LIFT, the rights of women and the protection of families. Jonathan and I have been friends for over 20 years since our time as classmates at NYU Law, and I am proud that LIFT is recognizing Jonathan for his achievements in both the public and private sectors.

The event will take place on the evening of Tuesday, June 3rd at Three Sixty° in lower Manhattan. Cocktails and a silent auction will begin at 6:00 P.M. with dinner, the program and a live auction at 7:00 P.M. We expect at least 250 attendees and plan to generate over $425,000.

LIFT is an innovative non-profit organization which empowers unrepresented litigants to advocate for themselves in Family Court by providing them with legal information and compassionate guidance. LIFT also reaches families in the community with programs that give them the tools to address family issues prior to escalation to Family Court. Each year, we reach almost 30,000 families in crisis through our programs.
