Today is Memorial Day, when we honor those who lost their lives serving our country. I spent today at the Annual Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial Day Wreath Laying Ceremony, thinking of those men and women, their bravery, dedication, and sacrifice.
I am also reminded of my fellow veterans and all those still in uniform. We must remember our commitment to care for them and their families. They give up so much so that we can be free. We have a duty to care for them, as well as the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
As you enjoy your Memorial Day afternoon, just take a moment to think about their memory and what we can do for our soldiers, veterans, and their families.
