I'm with Charlie Rangel all the way.
Of all my accomplishments, I am most proud to be a fifth generation resident of the 13th Congressional District. My commitment to my community is matched by my commitment to true democratic ideals and principles. I am a senior member of the New York State Assembly, and the County Leader of the Manhattan Democratic Party; both institutions are standard-bearers of progressive democracy. I need a partner who I can work with to keep fighting for us. We need someone in Congress who will stand up to Republicans in Washington and fight for President Obama's agenda of not just pushing to raise the minimum wage but creating jobs that provide a living wage; not just pushing to pass immigration reform but creating work and education opportunities for all those committed to our Nation's constitution; and not just pushing for more affordable housing but creating public/private partnerships that build sustainable communities. I need Congressman Charlie Rangel.
I've worked closely with Congressman Rangel over the years. I've seen him up close. He's the consummate public servant and public service is not an easy burden. But Charlie Rangel has dedicated his life to serving our community and we're here because Congressman Rangel has delivered for his constituents.

Our communities need him right now. After this year's elections, he'll be the second-most senior Congressman and that means he'll deliver for our Country and his local district of El Barrio, Harlem, Washington Heights, and the Bronx. He's been able to achieve so much for us, from his work to raise the minimum wage to expanding the earned income tax credit. He's protected affordable housing and brought investment to Upper Manhattan and the Bronx. He sponsored the Affordable Care Act, which has enabled thousands of New Yorkers to finally afford healthcare.
