Dear New York Animal Advocate,
Please join the ASPCA, NYCLASS, the New York State Animal Protection Federation, the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and your fellow animal lovers in Albany on Wednesday, May 14, for
New York Voices for Animals Day.This event is an amazing opportunity to meet other animal advocates and to talk in person with state lawmakers about issues impacting New York's animals.
During Voices for Animals Day, you will be a voice for animals!
This event provides New York animal advocates with a structured, comfortable setting in which to meet their elected officials and to discuss priority animal welfare legislation. Items on the agenda will likely include:
•Measures to increase penalties for animal cruelty.
•Improving regulation of dogs kept outdoors.
•Prohibiting breed discrimination.
•Cracking down on puppy mills.
We're bringing a few special features to this year's Voices for Animals Day! Treats and coffee will be provided to all attendees and to help you get to Albany, we'll be arranging transportation from NYC and from an upstate location. Once you've registered, we'll send you information on these transportation options and how to reserve your seat.
Voices for Animals Day is a great networking activity that is critical to our lobbying efforts. It's also invigorating, inspiring and very personally rewarding. Don't miss out—RSVP today and encourage your friends and family to do the same!
