TALK ABOUT THE CITY'S FISCAL ENVIRONMENT

Dear Lucas,

I hope you are well and surviving what seems like the longest winter ever.

I've been in my new role as President of the Downtown Alliance for just over a month now. It's a dynamic and exciting time for Lower Manhattan. Revlon just announced they are joining Conde Nast and Harper Collins in moving their headquarters downtown. The 9/11 Musuem is set to open in May. And, we are in the midst of a retail and restaurant revolution that will continue to transform the area.

If you happen to live or work downtown, or are interested in learning more about what's happening here, I am inviting you to join me and Comptroller Scott Stringer on March 25th at 8:30am at the next meeting of the Downtown Lower Manhattan Association – the Downtown Alliance's sister organization. I am pasting the invite with details below. Please RSVP to Teresa Figario at tfigario@downtownny.com.

In other news, I'm proud to report that I successfully ran the NYC Half Marathon last Sunday. Since the finish line was in Lower Manhattan, I couldn't resist running and am happy to share that my time was a personal best.

I hope that you are well and stay in touch.

Best,
Jessica
