Aging in New York: The New Paradigm
Are we Ready? What is the Role of Public Health?

On Thursday, March 27th, I will be participating on a panel of a program sponsored by the the Public Health Association of NYC.
We will be discussing Aging in New York.
Some of the issues we hope to address are:
- The impact aging baby boomers will have on NYC health services and economy
- The new senior; Is 50 the new middle age?
- Can seniors age in place
- Is New York City age-friendly?
- Are nursing homes obsolets?
- Senior services - do they need to be increased and who will pay for them?
- NYC/NYS specific pending legislation that will impact seniors
