HE'S FIGHTING FOR WORKING FAMILIES

Tell Congress: Raise the Minimum Wage!Lucas,

It isn't news that millions of Americans work 40+ hours a week earning minimum wage and still struggle to make ends meet.

And you know that more money in workers' pockets means more money back into our local economy.

In fact, 71 percent of folks see lifting the minimum wage as a common-sense approach to giving hard-working, low-income families the chance they deserve to reach the American Dream.

So if we know this, why don't Republicans in Congress?

My husband Chris and I have been very blessed in our lives. This country has given us a lot, and we see it as our obligation to make sure that everyone has a real shot at the American Dream and economic opportunity. That's why I am 100% committed to raising our nation's minimum wage and lifting millions of Americans out of poverty.

But my voice alone can't make enough noise to get the Republicans' attention.

Will you click here to add your voice now to urge Congress to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour and help lift Americans out of poverty?

In January, President Obama called for this boost to the minimum wage. But Congressman Gibson and his House Republican comrades have blocked every effort to bring this proposal to the floor.

It's clear that the voices of everyday Americans who want to raise the minimum wage are being drowned out by the corporations and special interests in Washington who oppose it.

But if we align our voices now we can prove to Gibson and House Republicans that raising the minimum wage is the right thing to do for our communities.

Tell Congress: Raise the minimum wage to help struggling families and jumpstart our economy.

Thank you for standing with me and fighting for working families,

Sean
