Yesterday was the first day of petitioning and our volunteers are off to a big start.

Our volunteers are talking to voters and collecting petition signatures to get Charlie Rangel on the ballot. But we need you to back them up.

We're holding a kickoff fundraiser this upcoming Monday, March 10th at 6 PM at Chocolat Harlem (2217-13 Frederick Douglass Blvd at 120th St). Will you be there?

Charlie Rangel is fighting for our values. He's leading the charge to raise the minimum wage. He's on the front lines of the effort to ensure that contract workers at places like LaGuardia and JFK earn a living wage. He's the author of a bill to expand the Earned Income Tax Credit so that adults without children can benefit. And this week, President Obama included that proposal in his budget.

This isn't new--Charlie Rangel has always been at the forefront of the effort to move America forward. He's been leading the effort to expand the Earned Income Tax Credit and make work pay since 1986. He pushed President Obama's Affordable Care Act through Congress and now he's making sure that the hundreds of thousands of uninsured New Yorkers can get quality healthcare.
