If we are going to right the imbalance, we need to work together, starting by throwing our full support behind Mary Burke, a truly amazing woman who is poised to make history as Wisconsin's first female governor.
Mary has made huge gains against extremist Republican Governor Scott Walker in the past few months – polls have her tied – and the nonpartisan Cook Political Report just moved Mary's race from "lean Republican" to "toss-up."
Mary can win this race, but she needs us fighting with her all the way to November. I promised to help Mary raise $17,000 by midnight tomorrow – will you join me?
Walker has done real damage to the economy, workers' rights and women's rights in Wisconsin, and the state deserves someone who can get them back on track. They deserve Mary Burke.
It won't be easy: Karl Rove's Super PAC bought almost $1 million in Wisconsin TV airtime to support Scott Walker's sweeping conservative agenda, and the Right's big money will keep flooding in.
If we are going to make headway on the issues we care about most, we need a movement to elect allies like Mary. Will you be part of it?
