Lucas,
Apparently no one. Or at least that is what you might think based on the action of some in Congress.
The U.S. economy depends on clean water—be it for manufacturing, food production, or the safe drinking water we all rely on every day. But some lawmakers are threatening to withhold funds already approved by Congress to prevent the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers from restoring Clean Water Act protections.
The Army Corps and EPA are working to restore protections under the Clean Water Act to safeguard our nation's water resources—including streams and wetlands that supply drinking water to approximately 117 million Americans. But, they can't take those steps if Congress puts obstacle after obstacle in their way.
Tell your member of Congress to quit delaying and defunding projects. Moving forward to strengthen protection for the rivers, streams and wetlands is necessary for people and communities that depend upon clean water for drinking, swimming, fishing and so many other things.
Send a letter to your member of Congress today.
Sincerely,
Rob McCulloch
