Dear Lucas,
Here’s some good news to start off your week…
A new poll shows Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s fight to keep New York safe and affordable for middle class families – including protecting consumers, prosecuting drug dealers, defending victims of wage theft, and stepping in to pay for local police departments’ bulletproof vests – is resonating with New Yorkers.
According to a Siena College Research Institute poll, Eric leads his Republican opponent John Cahill by 25 points – up from the 20-point lead Eric had last month in a Quinnipiac University survey. Cahill is unknown to more than three-quarters of voters.
Despite this morning’s news, we’re not taking anything for granted. At least one Super PAC has pledged to raise and spend millions of dollars to distort Eric’s record. That’s why we need to be prepared.
Will you help support our efforts to defend Eric against this onslaught of Super PAC money?
We believe that there should be one set of rules for everyone no matter where you live, who you love, or how many powerful friends you have. We agree that shadowy outside groups should not be able to buy our elections. Join the fight to keep New York moving in the right direction – click here to contribute now.
Thank you,
