Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunologist
We are looking for a highly motivated post-doctoral fellow with less than 2 years of post-postdoctoral experience (2 years since degree confirmation) to work on projects related to the mechanisms of chronic inflammation and fibrosis in the intestine. The Wynn (Immunopathogenesis Section/LPD/NIAID) lab has a long-standing history of studying the mechanisms of fibrosis in a variety of chronic diseases.
Candidates should possess a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree in Immunology, Pathobiology, or Infectious Diseases; have a strong track record of high quality biomedical research; and an excellent publication record. We are particularly interested in candidates with previous experience in mouse models of inflammatory bowel disease. The successful applicant will have ample opportunities to develop new skills, and will work in a world-class scientific environment with full access to cutting edge tools and technologies. This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed biologist to make an important contribution to defining the mechanisms of fibrosis in IBD and other chronic inflammatory disease while working in a lab with a track record of success.
