HE'LL ALWAYS FIGHTING

Earlier today. I received this email from the Tierney campaign. You'll note there isn't even a mention of Father's Day.

(What's up with that, John?)

Lucas --

Once again, Congressional Republicans turned their backs on students and middle class families.

Senator Elizabeth Warren and I proposed a plan that would allow students to refinance their loans at a lower rate. Our plan would have been an important step toward helping students buried under crippling debt, and it would’ve pumped $21 billion back into our economy.

But this week, Republicans in Congress showed us whose side they are on. They stood by their tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires and they refused to help our nation's students and families.

While it's frustrating that Senate Republicans voted against our bill and House Republicans won't even allow a vote, I promise that this is not the end of our fight to provide relief to students and families. This issue is too important.

Lucas, now we have to take our fight to the polls.

This week has shown us why we must stop obstructionists Republicans like my opponent, Richard Tisei, from coming to Congress.

Tisei will only bolster Speaker Boehner and his Republican allies who are blocking policies aimed at helping seniors, veterans, women and small business owners across our district.

I promise, as long as I’m in Congress, I’ll always fight on the side of middle-class families, not corporate special interests.

I’ll fight for students, seniors and veterans across Massachusetts. And I’ll always fight for my constituents and those who need our help.

Thanks for all you do,

John
