Lucas —
I hate losing. An argument, a swim meet, a game of Monopoly.
So you can imagine how I feel about this: we could actually lose —
not gain — Democratic women in the Senate this November.
I'm not willing to let 2014 be the year that women take a giant step
back in Washington. Are you?
Donate right now to make sure pro-choice Democratic women have the resources
they need to win in 2014. We only have $62,011 to go to reach our goal
by the June 30th deadline.
In 2012, we celebrated the historic victories of nine pro-choice Democratic
senators: Dianne Feinstein, Mazie Hirono, Elizabeth Warren, Debbie Stabenow,
Amy Klobuchar, Claire McCaskill, Kirsten Gillibrand, Maria Cantwell, and
Tammy Baldwin.
But as great as it is to have a record 16 Democratic women in the Senate
right now, that number could drop if we don't step up for our candidates
running this year.
We need to be working our tails off to elect Alison Lundergan Grimes,
Jeanne Shaheen, Michelle Nunn, Kay Hagan, Colleen Hanabusa, and Natalie
Tennant this November.
2014 will NOT be the year Democratic women go backwards in Washington,
if you and I have something to say about it. Donate before our Monday deadline.
I love winning even more than I hate losing. Let's get to work to
win this thing.
Take care,
Stephanie
