RUTH WAS RIGHT

Lucas,

The Hobby Lobby decision had barely been announced before the most conservative justices on the Court started to make things worse.

On Thursday night, after reporters had all packed up and gone home, they issued an unsigned emergency order that could let a whole slew of corporations deny insurance coverage for even more kinds of birth control.

In her Hobby Lobby dissent, the inimitable Ruth Bader Ginsberg warned that by allowing a boss' beliefs to trump female employees' rights to birth control, the Court had "ventured into a minefield."

And she was absolutely right. The emergency order issued later in the week already allows one college to refuse to cover any birth control for its employees at all.

A lot is on the line this November — the future of our Judicial Branch and women's access to birth control.

Help protect access to reproductive health care by donating right now to help elect women who will stand up for a woman's right to choose.

Thanks for stepping up,
