Dear Friends,
Today we celebrate the independence of our nation and the freedoms we
hold dear as Americans. As we come together with our family and friends
to enjoy the holiday, let us remember the hard work and sacrifice required
to protect those freedoms throughout our history. On behalf of all New
Yorkers, I thank our veterans who have served our nation, the men and
women of our Armed Forces who continue that proud tradition today, and
the military families who provide support and love here at home. We are
forever grateful to them all.
