[On Monday night], the Lex Club won the Herman D. Farrell Club of the Year Demmy Award and we owe you a heart felt thank you.
From petitioning (yes lots of petitioning) to campaigning, fundraisers, dinners, events and activism, the efforts of our members, executive committee and officers made this award possible. Demmy's photos will soon be posted to our website.
Special recognition must be given to Assemblymember Dan Quart and Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney who are the heart, soul and leadership of the Lex Club. Thank you to New York County Committee and our County Leader Keith L.T. Wright for hosting such a fabulous event.
The Lex Club dedicates its Demmy Award to the late Robert J. Levinsohn. Although Bob is sorely missed, his spirit lives on in our club.
Although State Committeewoman Trudy L. Mason was not the Demmy recipient of the Democrat of the year award, she is our Democrat of the year who is going to be honored by County in November (details to follow).
We look forward to seeing you at our next event and out campaigning for our candidates this fall.
