My parents, a maid and a janitor, taught me that there are some things in life that are just worth fighting for. That’s why I have decided to run for mayor--to help make Orange County a place that lives up to it's potential with a government that lives up to its promises.

I spent 27 years working my way up through the ranks to become Chief of the Orlando Police Department. I was proud to be the first woman to ever hold that job, but prouder to have cut crime while cutting millions from the budget.
As someone who raised a family here in Orange County, I want to fight to give our schools the resources they need so our students get the education they deserve. I see an Orange County where business thrives and where crawling congestion is eased by high speed rail. I see an Orange County that looks like you and me and looks to the future with unfettered optimism. I will deliver leadership that says what it means and does what it says.
