This is an update on major Latino appointments made by NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, as of January 21, 2014. This is part of the monitoring of municipal appointments conducted from time to time by the National Institute for Latino Policy (NiLP).
Based on news releases from the Mayor's office and press reports, of 38 total appointments made by the Mayor so far, 8 (or 23.7 percent) are of Latinos.
